The pleasure of reading
viernes, 22 de junio de 2012
Dear all,
Sorry for being absent today but my daughter is ill.
As regards our task, I was thinking of postponing the presentations for next Friday so that we can round up the topic next Tuesday, what do you think?
Have a nice weekend,
Constanza
Hi, teacher! This is the William Blake's quote I told you about the other day. From this quote, the band "The Doors" took its name: "If the doors of perception were cleansed, every thing would appear to man as it is: infinite." Then, in 1954, Aldous Huxley wrote en essay insipired in this verse.
Hi, Constanza! I've read the texts on that link. It blew my mind away. At the beginning it was quite difficult to grasp the actual meaning, but then I did some research and I could understand much better the author's statements.
hi constanza! hope your daughter is better.. no problem with the new date of the presentation!! see you on tuesday.

Melisa, Thanks for the quote. Blake wrote it in his work The Marriage of Heaven and Hell. Here I send you the link:
